Kutch Ecology Foundation - Koti vruksh Abhiyan

       Kutch district is one of the biggest district of Gujarat state(India). It is over 45000 k.m in area, bigger than Kerala and Hariyana states of India. One bigger portion of district is surrounded by DESERT.

Because of carelessness of the natives district has lost most of the FORESTRATION due to which there has been constantly famine and draught. every alternative years since last century. Rain clouds simply run away from the land of district because of heavy wind, due to this most of farmers of district have migrated else where for their livelihood, local farmers, animals, birds,and natural resource  like rivers, ponds, wells and underground water storage have effected very badly, on the economy, health and education etc.

After setteling down else where native living people thought of improving the condition of their motherland kutch, and started helping financially in all respect, medical, education and environment Bidada Sarvodaya Trust and Vivekanand Research and Training Institute. 

Such people started bidada hospital to help local people for medical and vivekanand resurch and training institute for environment. Kind hearted people joined there institute and started doing wonderful job and improved the condition of the district great awareness has come in all the fields of medical, environment and education.

: ENVIORANMENT :

As far as environment is concern lot of work is done by V.R.T.I., Bidada Sarvodaya Trust also joined and put their efforts to bring the awareness in local people about environment.

: KOTI VRUKSH ABHIYAN : 

Tree plantation is one of the base of enviorenment and was very difficult job to bring success, due to which some active friends started “KOTI VRUKSH ABHIYAN”, to bring the awareness of tree plantation in the district.

Koti vruksh abhiyan started motivating local people for tree plantation by way of lok dayara in most villages putting banners stickers in all schools, holy places, panjrapols, which brought good awareness in the people.

Smrutivan and vruksh dattak yojanas were started at many places to get financial help for kutchhi people staying out of kutch districts.

This system has worked very nicely .such vruksh dattak yojanas (Tree adoptation project) has been introduced at many place and thousands of trees have been planted in schools, panjrapols, and pilgrimgase places.

Thise work has been done mostly throughout the district. We can see the improvement of forestration throughout district.
